Danielle wakes up before the sun rises to predict Colorado's ever-changing, ever-challenging weather as a morning meteorologist at 9NEWS!
Some of her first days on-air, she reported from the Black Forest Fire, tracking the weather conditions during the most destructive wildfire in state history. Just a few months later, she worked around the clock covering the catastrophic flooding along the Front Range. Then this past winter, she kept a close eye forecasting the epic snow storms that hammered the High Country.
Before coming to Denver, Danielle forecasted, anchored and reported at KREM-TV in Spokane, Wash. She loved doing it all, not knowing where the day would take her.
Danielle's career began years before in the tiny town of Idaho Falls. She stuffed her bags to the brim in the back of her SUV and moved in the midst of a blizzard to start her first on-air job at KIFI-TV. The climate was extreme, unlike anything this California gal had experienced before. Between tracking subzero temperatures and powerful thunderstorms, Danielle found her passion predicting Mother Nature there.
She graduated from Cal Poly State University in San Luis Obispo earning a degree in Broadcast Journalism. During college, she worked behind the scenes at the local NBC affiliate, KSBY-TV, learning the ins and outs of the business. Later, she put her head back in the books studying meteorology at Mississippi State University. Danielle is now a certified meteorologist, working toward her NWA Seal.
Although she spent most of her life in sunny San Diego, Danielle calls Colorado home. As a little girl, she spent summers in Pagosa Springs, and took her first turns on a snowboard at Wolf Creek. When she's not tracking the skies, she's outside enjoying them - rain or shine! Danielle loves exploring Colorado whether it's hiking, biking, horseback riding, wakeboarding or even golfing. Most of all, she adores spending time with her family and friends and loves living in the Mile High City!
