How you can get involved in our Stuff for Students school supply drive

When you think about the fact that some families can't afford the basics, you see why our annual "Stuff for Students" drive is so important.

DENVER - It’s still summer, and most kids aren’t thinking about school, but we are -- it’s time for our Stuff for Students school supply drive!!

Studies have shown that starting the school year with the necessary school supplies promotes learning, boosts self-esteem and helps keep kids in school. So, let’s help the students in our community by collecting schools supplies throughout the whole month of August.

We are partnering with the Denver Broncos, King Soopers, Volunteers of America, Larry H. Miller Dealerships and Bright Horizons for this year’s Stuff for Students School Supply Drive.

We have a variety of ways to donate:

Denver Broncos
The Denver Broncos have teamed up with 9NEWS to support their annual Stuff for Students school supply drive during 2017 Training Camp from July 27 – August 12. The Broncos invite fans to Be A Champion in the Community and bring the following donation items to any of the public training camp practices:

•   Backpacks (for all ages)
•   3-Ring Binders
•   Spiral Notebooks
•   Packs of Colored Markers
•   24-Count Box of Crayons

Fans who donate at least one listed item, make a minimum $5 donation (cash or credit) or visit the tent will be entered to win a football signed by one of your Denver Broncos. Schools supplies will be distributed by Volunteers of America to schools in need across Colorado.

For the full training camp schedule please visit: http://www.denverbroncos.com/trainingcamp

King Soopers
At Front Range King Soopers stores look for the Stuff for Students box display located at the front of each store. Pick up a box for either $5 or $10.
By spending $5 will provide 25 school supplies to 5 students in need.
By spending $10 will provide 50 school supplies to 10 students in need.

In addition to the boxes, King Soopers is collecting donations through their scan tags and canisters for change at checkout.  All money will go towards buying school supplies.
