Thirty years in the making, Mountainfilm is America’s premiere showcase for independent films dealing with world cultures, adventure, and the environment. The four-day festival is a blend of films, speakers, exhibits, slide shows, seminars, and discussions on the power of visual arts to instigate change.

This June, the mountains of Telluride will come alive with bright balloons and world-class music at the 32nd Annual “Jazz in June with Balloons.” The Neville Brothers and Dr. John will headline.

This festival promises to take you up, up, and away! During the day, the sky above Telluride Town Park burst with color as hot air balloons float overhead. At night, Telluride’s Main Street sets the stage for the warm-your-soul balloon glow.

Telluride Bluegrass Festival

Bluegrass lovers flock to Telluride every year for four days of pickin’ and grinnin’. The festival traditionally boasts some of the best in the biz. This year’s lineup features Ryan Adams & The Cardinals, Sam Bush Band, Ricky Skaggs & Bruce Hornsby with Kentucky Thunder, and the Ani DiFranco Band. Past acts have included Emmylou Harris, Bonnie Raitt, and Alison Krauss & Union Station, among others.

Telluride Wine Festival

Pairing the beauty of the mountains with indulgence of fine wines, this multi-day event features winemakers’ luncheons, cooking demonstrations, reserve programs, seminars, and tastings for novices and experts alike.

Telluride Yoga Festival

This first annual event combines the inspiration of the natural surroundings and expertise of both nationally acclaimed and local yoga practitioners. An array of yoga and meditative workshops for all levels, as well as related seminars, will be offered.

Festival of the Arts

The fifth annual Telluride Festival of the Arts will include celebrity chef demonstrations, food seminars, a grand tasting, and a progressive dinner showcasing local restaurants. On the arts side, 60 national juried and world-class visual artists will be on hand.

Telluride Film Festival

Each Labor Day weekend, the town of Telluride triples in size for this event that prides itself in providing cinematic submersion. The lineup isn’t revealed until everyone arrives. Visitors can choose one of three passes to experience the weekend. Purchase early – the festival sells out nearly every year.


September 12-14, 2008

Blues & Brews Festival

The three-day celebration of music and microbrews in Telluride Town Park includes live blues, rock, funk, gospel, and soul, with food and craft vendors, and children’s activities. At night, the festival flows into the Town of Telluride and Mountain Village with late-night juke joints and after-hours jams.
