HOSTING ALCOHOL FREE PARTIES!!

• Establish ground rules a head of time. Number one issue:ALCOHOL OR DRUGS WILL NOT BE PERMITTED
• Designate which rooms in the house are “off limits”
• Leave doors open in rooms used by party guests’
• Secure family liquor and medicine in cabinets
• Meet guests at the door to prevent “party crashers”
• Keep backpacks in open view
• Cans or containers of drinks cannot be brought into the party if already opened
• When manageable, guests should not be allowed to leave and return
• If a child appears intoxicated, call their parents
• Set a time for the party to end
• NETWORK WITH ALL OTHER PARENTS!

• Civil liability 12-47-901 A social host who willfully and knowingly serves an alcoholic beverage to a person under the age of 21 could be liable for any injury, property damage or wrongful death caused by that intoxicated minor
