Cealey joined the 9NEWS Sports Department in August 2017.

A utility player, Cealey has done a little bit of everything at KUSA, from reporting and anchoring to producing, writing, editing and filming.

Prior to making the move to the Mile High City, Cealey spent two years in Madison, Wisconsin, covering the Badgers, Brewers, Bucks and Packers as the Weekend Sports Anchor at WKOW.

Before making the move to the Frozen Tundra, Cealey spent two years at KODE in Joplin, Missouri. She was the first full-time female sports anchor/reporter in the Joplin market.

Cealey got her first taste of television in 2006 as a contestant on the Discovery Kids reality TV show Endurance: High Sierras. She spent a month living in a three-story tree house (for real) in the mountains of California, competing against 18 other kids for the title of Endurance Champion. After that once-in-a-lifetime experience, Cealey knew that a career in television was right up her alley.

She got her foot in the door as a producer in her hometown of Tallahassee, Florida, while she was still a student at Florida State University. In 2013, Cealey earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Communications - Media Studies from FSU.

Her love of sports comes from being an athlete herself. She spent a semester playing college soccer at Lynn University before turning her focus to journalism. But her love for the game never went away after college and she currently plays in a few co-ed soccer leagues in the Denver area. Outside of soccer, she’s an avid hiker, climber, runner, cyclist and all-around sports junkie.

She’s a fur-mom to a rescued Golden Retriever named Lady and a cat named Stella.

Like most journalists, Cealey loves that her job is to serve the community, telling the inspirational and emotional stories of others. Know someone who deserves to have their story told? Someone who is making a difference in the lives of others? Or is there a unique sports event going on in your area? Give Cealey a shout on social media or send her an email at cealey.godwin@9news.com.
