St. Patrick's Day weekend is sure to be a great one all across the Centennial State. There are lots of terrific parades, festivals and parties where everyone can feel Irish. Spring is just around the corner so head outside and experience the excitement of professional soccer in Colorado Springs. Also... the Harlem Globetrotters are in four cities in our state this weekend!

Dead Sea Scrolls at DMNS — Denver

The oldest known biblical documents will be in the Mile High City for public viewing beginning Friday. The Dead Sea Scrolls will be displayed at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science through September 3. The Dead Sea Scrolls a record of laws, customs and beliefs written in Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek -date back over 2,000 years and to see them is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Due to strict preservation requirements, the ten scrolls initially on display will be replaced halfway through the Denver run with another ten scrolls. Each rotation includes a scroll that has never before been on public display. Also on display will be more than 600 artifacts from the ancient Middle East. St. Patrick's Day Parade — Denver

Denver's annual St. Patrick's Day Parade will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday at 19th and Wynkoop. The parade will proceed down Wynkoop to 17th, south to Blake, then goes down Blake to 27th and beyond. Insiders say the best spot to view the dancers, musicians and more is south of 20th Ave on Blake — but be prepared for crowds at this spot. The Denver parade is one of the largest in the country with some 10,000 marchers including floats, clowns, pipe bands, Irish step dancers, military honorees, horses, stagecoaches and more, lasting up to 4 hours! Switchbacks Home Opener Colorado Springs

Colorado Springs' professional soccer team kicks off its 2018 season on Saturday. The Colorado Springs Switchbacks will host the LA Galaxy II at 6 p.m. at Weidner Field (next to the Sky Sox's Security Service Field) in northeast Colorado Springs. Saturday night's match will also be a St. Patrick's Day celebration with fireworks and $1 green beer for the first 30 minutes after gates open at 5 p.m. Switchbacks tickets start at just $12 and are available at AXS.com. Harlem Globetrotters — Loveland, Denver, Broomfield & Colorado Springs

The iconic Harlem Globetrotters are bringing their family-friendly entertainment and incredible basketball skills to four Colorado cities this weekend. The Globetrotters will face off against their long-time adversaries the Washington Generals in Loveland on Friday, Denver and Broomfield on Saturday and Colorado Springs on Sunday with tickets starting under $30. The Globetrotters' star-studded roster features Big Easy, Ant, Hi-Lite, Thunder, Bull and Cheese – plus female stars Swish, Hoops and Colorado's own TNT. Colorado Springs Home Show Colorado Springs

St. Patrick’s Day Outdoor Festival — Denver

Denver’s biggest St. Patrick’s Day celebration is going down in LoDo on Saturday. Put on by Fadó Irish Pub and band Howl at the Moon, the event will feature an all-day, outdoor festival, complete with live bands, outdoor bars, and three food trucks. The event at 19th and Wazee (just south of Coors Field) which runs from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. will be 21+ only after 4 p.m. Tickets are $20 at AltitudeTickets.com. Body Mind Spirit Expo — Denver

For those looking to explore the world of holistic possibilities, this gathering at the Denver Mart is sure to please.
