Snowshoe for the Cure — Frisco

Susan G. Komen Colorado's Snowshoe for the Cure is a uniquely-Colorado event held in the winter wonderland of Frisco. The fun, family-friendly event, allows participants to strap on their snowshoes in an effort to stomp out breast cancer. There are several events including a Lil Stompers Dash, a 3K route and 5K option. The day starts with a pancake breakfast and ends with hot cocoa. The Great LeapDenver

There are just two weekends left to see the world premiere of The Great Leap at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts. The touching comedic drama follows an American college basketball team traveling to Beijing for an exhibition game in 1989. The Great Leap plays at the Ricketson Theatre until March 11 with tickets available online at DenverCenter.org.

United States Navy Concert Band Free Concert Greeley

The United States Navy Concert Band — the premier wind ensemble of the U.S. Navy — will host a free concert Saturday night in Greeley. The band has been performing for over 90 years. The concert will feature a wide array of marches, patriotic selections, orchestral transcriptions and modern wind ensemble repertoire. Mile High Beer Fest Denver

The Mile High Beer Festival returns to Denver's River North neighborhood on Saturday. The festival celebrates Colorado craft brews in a fun, laid-back atmosphere at Denver Rock Drill at 1717 E. 39th Ave. There will be over 25 Colorado breweries and 60 craft beers to sample along with food trucks, venders and music. There are afternoon and evening sessions with general admission and VIP tickets available. Several great transportation options are available to RiNo including the RTD A-Line stop at 38th and Blake, as well as Uber, Lyft and Taxi options. West Side Story: Philharmonic Pops Colorado Springs

For a unique live music and movie experience, head to the Pikes Peak Center in Colorado Springs this weekend. The Colorado Springs Philharmonic will perform the score to West Side Story while the classic 1961 film is shown above the stage with original vocals and dialogue. The movie, which won 10 Academy Awards including Best Picture, stars Natalie Wood, Richard Beymer, Russ Tamblyn, Rita Moreno, and George Chakiris. There are performances on Friday and Saturday nights with tickets available at PikesPeakCenter.com.

Rocky Mountain Train Show Denver

Grown men become little boys again at the Rocky Mountain Train Show on Saturday & Sunday at the Denver Mart. This popular show — the largest train show west of the Mississippi — features 120,000 square feet of toy trains, 30 operating model railroads, a marketplace with more than 600 tables, hands-on exhibits, Kids Corner, demonstrations and workshops. The show is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is $10 for both days. Jesus Christ Superstar — Greeley

The University of Northern Colorado's School of Theatre Arts & Dance presents the rock opera that has delighted audiences for over 40 years. Featuring music from Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Tim Rice, the musical is loosely-based on the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John and follows the last week in the life of Jesus Christ. Hear the well-known numbers “Superstar,” “I Don’t Know How to Love Him” and “Gethsemane” through Sunday at the Langworthy Theatre. Tickets are available online at Tickets.UNCO.edu.

Colorado Mammoth vs. Buffalo Bandits — Denver

The Colorado Mammoth will celebrate all things Colorado on Saturday night at Pepsi Center when they take on the Buffalo Bandits. The team will wear their Colorado-themed (and fan-favorite) uniforms which will be available at the Altitude Authentics team store for purchase as well.
