COLORADO SPRINGS – Among the messages of support and sympathy after the line of duty death Monday of deputy Micah Flick, the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office has received flowers and a note from the New York Yankees.

“Amazing,” is the one-word response posted Friday on the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Twitter page.

The note reads: "With our deepest sympathies. Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire Flick family, and the entire family of the El Paso County Sheriff's Office."

The Yankees also sent arrangements after the recent deaths of Douglas County deputy Zackari Parrish and Adams County deputy Heath Gumm.

A spokeswoman tells 9NEWS the Yankees organization sends flowers every time someone on the team hears of a line of duty death in law enforcement.
