It's a tough job but someone's gotta do it.

9NEWS Morning Anchor Corey Rose is once again judging this year's Colorado Firefighter Calendar tryouts for the 5th year in a row.

She serves on the Colorado Professional Fire Fighters Foundation and her late father was a Los Angeles City Firefighter for 32 years.

As much fun as the event is, the money goes to a great cause that’s close to all firefighters’ hearts.

All money raised at the tryouts and throughout the year in calendar sales goes to the
Children’s Hospital Burn Center.

And more specifically, Burn Camp which is established to improve the lives of burn-injured children.

In November, the organization made its annual donation to the Burn Center at Children’s Hospital for $135,000 making their five year total over $475,000!

On Saturday, you have a chance to watch it all unfold at the Exdo Events Center.

The tryouts for the 2018 calendar gets underway at 7:30 p.m. for general admission, and 6:30 p.m.for VIP tickets holders.

Jeff Cole, Mr. December 2016, and a Denver fire chief who now serves on the Colorado Firefighter Calendar board stopped by the morning show on Wednesday to talk about the organization.

Aileen Richards, Miss March 2017 and Dane Rafferty, Mr. January 2017 also stopped by to talk about their year raising money and being out in the community.
