Chipotle Mexican Grill Inc. is being sued in Los Angeles by a few customers who said that the Denver restaurant chain's chorizo burrito has more calories than advertised.
According to various news outlets, some Los Angeles customers are suing Chipotle (NYSE: CMG), claiming that the restaurant's posted assertion that the chorizo burrito has 300 calories is incorrect.
The posted calorie count is only for the chorizo, not the entire burrito, Chipotle retorted.
In Los Angeles, one customer bought a chorizo burrito saying he thought it had only 300 calories, and after eating it, he claimed in his suit he felt "excessively full," according to MyNewsLA.com.
