More than 40 foster children in Denver found places and people that they can now call home.
In two hours and in six different court rooms, the Denver Juvenile Court finalized 44 adoptions by 31 families on Thursday.
It's part of the city's 13th annual Adoption Day, an event to raise awareness for children in foster care in Denver.

“We love him. He is everything to us and we are very, very excited.”
According to Denver Human Services, 133 children in the city have been adopted this year alone, and 676 kids have been adopted since Adoption Day launched 13 years ago.
There are currently 24 children in foster or kinship care who are in need of permanent homes.
