KUSA – He may be named after a famous goofball, but Curley is no joke.

The pup stopped by 9NEWS Wednesday morning in search of a forever home. He's currently up for adoption at the Foothills Animal Shelter.

Curley is a sweet, 9-year old black Pekingese mix. He is personable and outgoing, and isn't afraid to show affection to the people he loves. Curley has lived with cats, dogs and children and makes a great family dog. He's down to hang with the family on the couch, or go for long walks and meet new friends.

Curley was brought to the shelter earlier this month with his best friend, Moe, after their owner decided they could no longer care for them. While the shelter was hopeful they'd be adopted together, Moe found a new home earlier this week.

Now it's Curley's turn to find a loving new family, and the Foothills Animal Shelter is offering you a special deal if you're interested in taking him or another pet home.

This weekend, the Foothills Animal Shelter is holding its pick your adoption price promotion. Please note the same adoption process still applies.
