On this Election Day, you won't see 2,215,258 Colorado voters standing in line at polling places.

That's how many Coloradans cast their votes before Tuesday, Secretary of State Wayne Williams says.

The early-voting total of 2,215,258 represents two-thirds of the 3,343,879 Colorado registered voters whose ballots were mailed to them under the state's mail-ballot system. And it's 79 percent of the 2.8 million votes that 9News political analyst Floyd Ciruli projects will be cast in this election.

That puts this year's election right in line with Colorado's early-voting record from the last presidential election in 2012, when the Associated Press estimated that 80 percent of Colorado voters cast their ballots early.
