Bank with Colorado branches will drop its NRA Visa card

"Customer feedback has caused us to review our relationship with the NRA," the bank tweeted, as reported by USA Today. "As a result, First National Bank of Omaha will not renew its contract with the National Rifle Association to issue the NRA Visa card."

First National Bank of Omaha, which has branches in Colorado, says it will no longer offer a National Rifle Association Visa card, it announced Thursday.

The nation's biggest privately owned bank said it was responding to customer complaints in deciding not to renew its branded-card contract with the firearms-advocacy group, which opposes most restrictions on guns.

“Customer feedback has caused us to review our relationship with the NRA,” the bank tweeted, as reported by USA Today. “As a result, First National Bank of Omaha will not renew its contract with the National Rifle Association to issue the NRA Visa card.”

The bank did not say when the NRA card would be discontinued or how many of its customers have one. It issues credit cards through its First Bankcard division.
