Registrations of new cars, SUVs and pickups in Colorado dropped 13.2 percent in September from a year earlier, reflecting softer consumer demand for new vehicles nationwide.

For the first nine months of 2016, new-vehicle registrations are off 2.7 percent from the same period of 2015, according to a report Monday from Auto Outlook Inc., compiled for the Colorado Automobile Dealers Association (CADA).
