It wouldn't make financial sense to open car dealerships on Sunday, according to the president of Colorado's automobile association.

Nevertheless, eliminating the Sunday prohibition on auto sales will be among dozens of recommendations headed to Colorado lawmakers in 2017.

The recommendations are part of the annual review by the Department of Regulatory Agencies on state regulations set to sunset.

Prohibitions of the sale of motor vehicles on Sundays -- often listed as one of Colorado's so-called “Blue Laws” -- have already been eliminated by 34 states, according to DORA.
