DENVER BUSINESS JOURNAL - A Minnesota business executive has donated $10 million to Regis University’s business and economics college, the school announced Tuesday.

The gift is the single largest ever given to the 141-year-old Denver Jesuit/Catholic university, and Regis will rename its business college after the donor, alumnus Andy Anderson.

“We are profoundly grateful and proud to have a successful Regis graduate make such a meaningful investment in the very place where his business career began,” said Regis President John P. Fitzgibbons. “A signature gift like this shows the value of a Jesuit business education in the world today. I am excited to see the positive change and impact future graduates of the Anderson College of Business will have in making our world a better place.”

Anderson, who earned his Bachelor of Science in Business at Regis in 1990 before moving to the University of Colorado Boulder for his master’s, made his fortune in banking and construction.
