Denver’s DCP Midstream LP, the biggest processor of natural gas in the country, is teaming up with Kinder Morgan Inc., one of the largest energy infrastructure companies in North America, to build a 430-mile pipeline in Texas.

The 42-inch pipeline, dubbed the Gulf Coast Express Pipeline Project, will run from West Texas’s booming Permian Basin area to the Corpus Christi region, specifically Agua Dulche, Texas.

The project is designed to transport up to 1.7 billion cubic feet per day of natural gas, according to the partnership announcement.

Kinder Morgan (NYSE: KMI) in March said the project will carry natural gas from West Texas to markets on the Gulf Coast as well as markets in Mexico.
