It feels like we write about record-setting traffic at Denver International Airport every month, and September is no exception.

This September marked the busiest in the airport’s history, with more than 5 million passengers making their way through the iconic white tents and basking in strange apocalyptic art before embarking on incredible destinations.

It’s the 13th consecutive month of record-setting passenger traffic, according to a news release from DIA.

Traffic is up 8.2 percent over this time last year at DIA, with 53,419,317 passengers.

There was also a big increase in international traffic back in September – 171,118 passengers or 16.1 more than September 2015.
