DIA said Tuesday more than 5.1 million passengers passed through the airport in September, the first September DIA has broken through the 5 million mark, officials said.

Year to date, traffic is 8.2 percent higher than during the first nine months of 2015. Through the end of the third quarter this year, the airport has seen 43.5 million passengers.
