Jay Cutler, a former starting quarterback for the Denver Broncos who went on to play for eight seasons with the Chicago Bears, is headed to the broadcast booth.
Cutler was hired today by Fox Sports to serve as a color analyst as part of a NFL broadcast team alongside Kevin Burkhardt and Charles Davis, the Chicago Tribune reports.
Cutler played for the Broncos for three seasons, replacing Jake Plummer as the starter late in the 2006 season. He started for Denver for two more seasons. The Broncos missed the playoffs all three of those seasons.
Before the 2009 season, Cutler was traded to the Bears for quarterback Kyle Orton. He left Denver with a 16-20 record as a starter.
