Bill Gross, the superstar bond-fund manager at Denver's Janus Capital Group Inc. said Donald Trump's presidency will be short lived and "damaging."

In his monthly "Investment Outlook" report, Gross said Trump's economic plans for the country aren't going to have any effect.

While Trump "promised jobs and to make America great again, his policies of greater defense and infrastructure spending combined with lower corporate taxes to invigorate the private sector continue to favor capital versus labor, markets versus wages, and is a continuation of the status quo," Gross wrote.

Gross, who said he didn't vote for either Trump nor Hillary Clinton, said of Trump's win: "I write in amazed, almost amused bewilderment at what American voters have done to themselves ... His tenure will be a short four years but is likely to be a damaging one for jobless and low-wage American voters. "
