Climate Corp., the digital ag platform subsidiary of agricultural giant Monsanto Co., has acquired HydroBio Inc., a Denver-based software company.

HydroBio uses a combination of satellite imagery, soil data and hyper-local weather data to deliver irrigation insights for farmers to help improve crop water-use efficiency and maximize yields.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed. The acquisition will help San Francisco-based Climate Corp., which Monsanto bought for nearly $1 billion in 2013, provide irrigation-focused data analytics capabilities to farmers.
