Apartment researchers have agreed that Denver rents have risen in the past year, but they aren't in agreement by how much they rose.

Four different researchers have come up with four different rates for the rise in Denver rents, ranging from 1.7 percent to 15.6 percent.

In the middle is research by property management research company Yardi Matrix, which reported that rents have risen 2.3 percent in the past year and estimates that at the end of the year, rents will have risen 4 percent.

At Seattle real estate company Zillow, the estimate is that rents in Denver have risen 1.8 percent from October 2016 to October 2017.

Zillow's estimate is pretty close to San Francisco-based Apartment List, which estimates that Denver rents have increased just 1.7 percent over the past year.
