Two companies making technology to help governments engage citizens and manage legislative proceedings have merged now that they're owned by the same private equity firm.
Denver-based Granicus Inc. and St. Paul, Minnesota-based GovDelivery announced Tuesday that they have combined.
The name of the new business and its executive makeup have not been determined. The companies said they will operate independently for the rest of the year and work on blending operations and product offerings.
The combined business employs 375 people and serves more than 3,000 government clients. It says the merger makes the company the largest hosted subscription government software company in North America and the United Kingdom.
