Thanksgiving kicks off the holiday season for many in the Denver metro area, and — along with all the shopping, cooking and merrymaking — comes tough decision-making, like when to hit the road to avoid that increasingly gnarly I-25 traffic.

Google Maps and Google News Lab teamed up to analyze traffic patterns and search trends during the Thanksgiving holiday. Not only did they figure out the best and worst times to travel, but they also found “uniquely popular” search terms that pop up this time of year.

In Denver, the unique search term is, “car stereo store.” Perhaps a lot of locals are thinking of upgrading the sound systems in their Durangos and Colorados.
