Three Colorado companies earned perfect scores on a new report that ranks companies on their LGBTQ-inclusive workplace policies.

Nine companies in the state were included on the new Human Rights Campaign(HRC) Foundation's "2018 Corporate Equality Index" report, which ranks companies on their non-discrimination policies; employment benefits; demonstrated organizational competency and accountability around LGBTQ diversity and inclusion; public commitment to LGBTQ equality; and responsible citizenship. The HRC says it's the nation’s largest lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) civil rights organization in the country.

The three Colorado companies earning perfect scores this year included BallCorp. (NYSE: BLL), Newmont Mining Corp. (NYSE: NEM), and Level 3 Communications Inc., which was purchased this year by CenturyLink Inc. for $24 billion.
