Arvada may not have a train link yet between its downtown and Denver Union Station, but it will soon have a bus link.

With the launch of rail service delayed, the Regional Transportation District’s directors have agreed to spend $500,000 to set up temporary bus service between Olde Town Arvada and Union Station.

RTD officials say the new bus service is expected to start in mid-December and run until the transit agency's G Line rail service opens in 2017, unless it’s halted due to lack of ridership.

Olde Town Arvada is one of seven stops along the G Line, which will run to the Ward Road station near 52nd Avenue in Wheat Ridge.
