Liberty Global, already owner of the biggest cable TV network in Poland, struck a $760 million deal to buy the third-largest Polish cable business and expand to more than 2.2 million customers in the country.

The Denver-based cable operator announced the deal to buy Multimedia Polska Tuesday afternoon.

“This acquisition will significantly increase our scale in Poland,” said Michael Fries, CEO and president of Liberty Global. “It will also enhance our ability to invest in cutting-edge products and services for Polish consumers and businesses that will help drive organic growth across our enlarged footprint of 4 million premises.”
