Confluence Cos. will break ground in January on the $60 million Riverwalk mixed-use development in downtown Castle Rock.
Riverwalk will include 228 apartments, 30,000 square feet of office space and 10,000 square feet of retail. The project is expected to be complete in 2018, with some portions completed earlier in the year than others.
"I'm very passionate about what we're going in Castle Rock: I'm a Castle Rock resident," said Tony De Simone, principal at Confluence Cos., the Colorado-based company that is also working on several other projects around the Denver metro.
"The main reason Confluence Cos. got involved in redeveloping downtown Castle Rock is the need to create a vibrancy that's currently lacking," De Simone said. "Castle Rock needed a catalytic project of critical mass to make a difference."
