A Wisconsin company is recalling dark chocolate items because they may contain an undeclared milk allergen.
Figi's Companies of Marshfield, Wisconsin says the dark chocolate gingersnaps inside of their Christmas Gingersnap Variety tin could cause people who have an allergy or sensitivity to milk to have a life-threatening reaction.
The dark chocolate gingersnaps were distributed nationwide through mail orders. The Christmas Gingersnap Variety tin is mailed as Figi's Gift #0368 in a gold tin with an old-time winter scene on the lid. The dark chocolate gingersnaps are in a 5.5 oz. package.
While no illnesses have been reported due to the dark chocolate, the FDA says that people who have an allergy or sensitivity to milk should return the gingersnaps to Figi's for a full refund.
