KUSA — Thousands of ski bindings are being recalled because the heel piece on the binding can come loose, posing a fall or injury hazard, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.

The recall involves 2017-18 Look Pivot brand ski bindings sold at REI, Christy Sports, Retail Concepts, Vail Resorts, Backcountry.com and Evo.com between September 2017 and November 2017.

The bindings were sold in black, white and yellow. Only date codes of H7, I7 or J7, without the letter ‘V” stamped on the black plastic piece behind the turntable heel unit are included in the recall.

Consumers are asked to stop using the ski bindings and contact Look for a free inspection and replacement.
