A man who police say robbed a woman of a large amount of cash and prescription medicine Tuesday morning has been arrested.
Officers were called to the 7200 block of Sheridan Boulevard at 11:30 a.m. when a woman reported that a man approached her at gunpoint and robbed her.
Several schools in the area were placed on lockout as a precaution as officers set up a perimeter to search for the suspect. All lockouts were lifted just before 12:30 p.m.
The suspect, later identified as 26-year-old Brandon Romero, was taken into custody in the 4900 block of 118th Court shortly before 2 p.m.
Romero was taken to the Adams County Detention Facility on an aggravated robbery charge.
