A 49-year-old Northglenn company that builds commercial greenhouses has been bought by a New York firm.
Gibraltar Industries Inc. of Buffalo bought Nexus Corp. for $25 million in an all-cash deal.
Nexus has been in the greenhouse industry for about 25 years. It is expected to generate $30 million by Dec. 31.
The U.S. greenhouse structures market is estimated at approximately $250 million and is expected to grow at a 10 percent rate in 2017, driven by increased demand for organic, locally grown food as well as demands from the floriculture market and public and private research, according to Gibraltar.
