Spring daffodil sales raise funds for American Cancer Society

The American Cancer Society is taking orders for daffodils, which are also known as the flower of hope, through Monday, Feb. 5. The flowers will be delivered in mid-March.

Companies and organizations looking for an opportunity to recognize staff while also bringing a touch of spring to the office can place orders now for daffodils through the American Cancer Society Daffodil Days fundraiser.

The Society is taking orders for daffodils, which are also known as the flower of hope, through Monday, Feb. 5. The flowers will be delivered in mid-March.

Daffodils are available in bunches for $10 and mini-potted daffodils for $15 each. A Gift of Hope for a local cancer patient can also be purchased for $25.

Funds raised through Daffodil Days supports cancer research, along with programs for cancer patients and information and resources through cancer.org and 1-800-227-2345.

“Each daffodil purchase helps the American Cancer Society attack cancer from every angle,” said Amanda Seier, American Cancer Society senior manager of community development. “These funds enable us to provide cancer patients with rides to treatment and a place to stay when they need treatment away from home. We also provide information and support through our Cancer Resource Centers and Patient Navigators.”

For questions or to place a daffodil order through Feb. 5, contact the American Cancer Society at 720-524-5400 or http://denverdaffs@cancer.org
