There are now 10 suspects in custody in the death of two Colorado Springs teens who were found slain on the side of a road on March 12.
The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office says 18-year-old Endo Velarde – also known as “Sleepy” – turned himself in on Saturday evening.
Authorities say he faces charges for attempt to influence a public official in the double murder of 16-year-old Natalie Partida and 15-year-old Derek Greer.
The bodies of the teens were found on the side of Old Pueblo Road by a man who was leaving his home in Fountain.
Nine other people are in custody in connection with the deaths. One of them, Carlos Mesa – aka Tink – was found hiding under a log along the bank of Fountain Creek on Friday. He was charged with possession of a weapon by a previous offender.
The other suspects have been identified as:
-Gustavo Marquez, 19. He faces charges for two counts of first-degree murder, kidnapping, aggravated robbery and child abuse resulting in death
-Breeana Eloise Dahlberg, 20, faces charges of second-degree kidnapping
-Angelita Prado, 21, faces charges for second-degree kidnapping
-Alander Wilson, 43, faces charges for attempting to influence a public official
-Diego Chacon, 19, faces two counts of first-degree murder, two counts of second-degree kidnapping, one count of aggravated robbery and child abuse
-Joseph Rodriquez, 18, faces two counts of first-degree murder, two counts of second-degree kidnapping, one count of aggravated robbery, one count of child abuse and one count for accessary
- Marco Antonio Garcia-Gravo, 20, faces two counts of first-degree murder, two counts of second-degree kidnapping, one count of aggravated robbery, one count of child abuse
-Alexandra Romero, 20, faces charges for second-degree kidnapping and accessory
