ADAMS COUNTY, Colorado — An Adams County Sheriff's Office deputy vehicle was struck during a pursuit Saturday morning, said Paul Gregory with the Adams County Sheriff's Office.

The deputy was not injured and damage to the deputy's vehicle was minor, Gregory said.

Deputies began pursuing a stolen vehicle about 10:40 a.m. at 7460 Brighton Rd., the Sheriff's Office said.

Deputies called off the pursuit, and the vehicle was spotted later, about 11:10 a.m., in Thornton near East 98th Avenue and Josephine Street, according to the Sheriff's Office.

Gregory said two women were seen running from the vehicle, and both have been taken into custody.

The Sheriff's Office said it's too early in the investigation to release the suspects' names.
