Denver Police have made an arrest in the mysterious death of a 44-year-old woman who was found dead by her husband unexpectedly three years ago inside her home.

Now, that man is in jail facing first-degree murder charges.

Police arrested 53-year-old Robert Feldman on Tuesday for the 2015 murder of his wife Stacy Feldman.

Feldman is being held the Denver downtown jail.

A Denver Police Department spokesperson said the arresting documents in this case that would outline the details of what investigators believe happened are not available.

This is not a case that has been publicized as an unsolved murder. In fact, Stacy Feldman’s autopsy obtained by 9Wants to Know says the 44-year-old was found collapsed in a bathtub/shower -- with the showerhead -- still running on March 1, 2015.

But, the autopsy offered no cause of death.

According to the autopsy report, Feldman was last seen alive the morning of March 1, 2015 and complained of not feeling well.

The report said Feldman’s husband told investigators she ingested marijuana edibles the night before and the morning of her death.

The coroner found cuts and bruises on Feldman’s face, body, arms and legs.

The coroner never did pinpoint why or how Feldman died.

“Given the information available to us at this time, it is our opinion that the cause and manner of death of this 44-year-old female, Stacy Feldman, cannot be determined,” the autopsy report said. “Should further information become available after the signing of this report, the cause and/or manner of death may be amended.”

The Feldmans have two young children. According to court filings obtained by 9Wants to Know, it appears a family member has filed for custody.

Feldman will appear in court for the first time Wednesday afternoon to be advised as to why he’s been arrested.

According to an obituary in the Intermountain Jewish News, Feldman was the president of the PTO at Southmoor Elementary School in southeast Denver.

Her funeral was on March 4, 2015 at Temple Emanuel in Denver.
