Authorities say one suspect is at the center of a chase, two carjackings and a crash over the course of 3 hours in northern Colorado on Wednesday.

It started around 3 p.m. when a suspected drunk driver was spotted near the Owl Canyon area of Larimer County.

Deputies gave chase, but called it off -- feeling that it got too dangerous.

About an hour later, the same vehicle crashed on southbound I-25 near the Berthoud exit.

Investigators say the driver ran to a house and stole a car.

Two hours later, they say the same man carjacked someone in Boulder County.

Spike strips brought an end to the crime spree on Highway 287 in Loveland.

The suspect is in custody and no one was hurt.

Their name has not been released, and it's unclear what charges they could face.
