A Denver Police Department vehicle sustained minor damage Tuesday night after it was “brushed” by a suspect’s truck as he sped away.

Denver Police spokesperson John White says no one was injured during the incident, which the department tweeted happened in the area of Green Valley Ranch Parkway and Tower Road.

DPD says officers were trying to contact a person in crisis.

The suspect took off and headed westbound on Green Valley Ranch Parkway.

Denver Police did not pursue him, according to the tweet.

The suspect was not identified by name and no description was provided. It’s unclear if this was the person in crisis who prompted the original call.
