FORT COLLINS COLORADOAN — Police are looking into claims about possible sex trafficking activity at a Fort Collins Walmart after a social media post went viral.

The post, which is circulating on Facebook, describes a situation at the Walmart near Harmony Road and College Avenue where a woman was grocery shopping and another woman walked up and asked if she was interested in going to a bible study.

The woman writes that she said no, and the stranger insisted she join her. After the shopper said she already belonged to a bible study, the stranger walked away, seemingly irritated.

The post also claimed that people have reached out to her sharing similar experiences in Fort Collins.

Fort Collins Police Services spokeswoman Kate Kimble said the agency has received questions about the incidents as well. The Neighborhood Enforcement Team Officers who focus on human trafficking "have no indication of any verified claims."
