Lakewood Police are searching for the man who tried to lure a middle school boy into his car. The incident happened on Tuesday, February 20 at 2:30pm near W. Wesley Ave. and S. Indiana Street.
The boy attends Dustan Middle School. He reported that he was walking home from the school bus stop when he was approached by a man driving a dark colored two-door coupe.
The man stopped his car and offered the student a ride home. The boy declined a ride and the suspect drove away briefly before turning his car around to pursue the boy. The suspect stopped his car again, this time demanding the boy to get into the car. Fortunately, the boy ran home. He last saw the car driving away southbound on Indiana Street.
The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 40 years old, with dark brown hair and a full dark-haired beard with specks of gray.
