The Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a suspect accused of shooting a man during a possible attempted carjacking Tuesday night.

Just after 9 p.m., deputies were called to the 1600 block of South Parker Road for a report of a 41-year-old man shot during a struggle inside a business.

Deputies arrived to find the victim inside an office suite with a gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, the sheriff’s office said.

A K-9 searched the area, but was unable to find the suspect – who deputies have only described as a black male.

According the sheriff's office, the suspect was never able to get away with the victim's vehicle.
