Aurora police officers found a skimming device on gas pump #1 at the Valero gas station located at 1110 S. Buckley Rd. in Aurora on April 10. It appears it was placed there between April 7 and April 9.
Skimming is a method used by criminals to collect data from the magnetic strip on the back of a credit or ATM card. The devices are smaller than a deck of cards and are usually attached close to, or on top of, the factory-installed card reader.
