An apartment fire that left one person dead Friday morning is being investigated as a homicide, and police have taken a suspect into custody.
Just before 9 a.m., the Northglenn Police Department responded to 350 West 114th Avenue on reports of a structure fire.
Upon arrival, officers found the deceased body of Joseph Montoya, age 79. No other injuries were reported, and police say the fire was contained to one apartment.
The suspect's vehicle, a Jeep Grand Cherokee, was found at around 12:30 p.m. Police took Joshua Misegadis, 26, into custody after a pursuit.
