The owners of Solitaire Restaurant are asking for the public's help in tracking down suspects who broke into their West Highland eatery early Friday morning.
According to Solitaire's owner Andrea Ferguson, the suspects broke into the location at 3927 W. 32nd Ave. around 12:35 a.m., and stole several hundred dollars worth of product.
Ferguson said she was watching the whole thing live on her security camera from home and immediately called police.
She said the men had a hard time breaking in because of the restaurant's secure locks, but they still managed to steal several items after the alarm went off.
Police arrived about three minutes after the suspects left, and according to Ferguson, officers told her the men were looking in home windows and cars in the area before the incident occurred.
"I would love for this to get out there because they are trying to cause a good deal of damage in the Highlands area," Ferguson said.
Doug Schepman with the Denver Police Department said officers are investigating the break-in as an open burglary case.
Police encourage anyone with information about the suspects or the incident to call Denver Police or Crime Stoppers at (720) 913-7867 - (720) 913-STOP.
