Durango police are investigating what they're calling hate crimes, after swastikas were found on a home and a truck in the city's Three Springs neighborhood.

Police say they took a report of a large swastika that had been drawn on the garage door of a Jewish family's home in September. They learned the same thing had happened at that home twice before, but it was never reported.

Officers also learned of another swastika that had been scratched into a truck in the same neighborhood last week. The victim of that crime was not Jewish, according to police.

Police are encouraging anyone with information about the crimes to come forward by contacting Officer Harper or Officer Doocy via dispatch at (970) 385-2900.
