A woman has been formally charged with shooting and killing her husband while their four children were inside their northeast Denver home.

Roxanne Sanchez-Jaime, 33, is charged with first-degree murder and four counts of child abuse, the Denver District Attorney’s Office announced Monday.

Prosecutors say she shot and killed her husband, 34-year-old Rose Sanchez, in their home in the 16100 block of East Randolph Avenue on Sept. 25.

Sanchez-Jaime is being held without bond and is expected to appear in court Tuesday morning.
