The University of Colorado Leeds School of Business will have a new interim dean in January — Sharon F. Matusik, a senior associate dean of the school and professor of strategy and entrepreneurship.

Matusik takes over for interim dean William Kaempfer, an economist and senior vice provost and associate vice chancellor for budget and planning, who assumed the interim dean's role following the resignation of dean David Ikenberry in August.

University of Colorado Boulder Provost Russell L. Moore today announced the appointment of Matusik on Monday.

“I am exceedingly pleased that Sharon has accepted the position of interim dean of the Leeds School of Business,” Moore said. “She will be an exceptional leader for the school and a great asset not only to my leadership team, but also to the university as a whole. I believe she will build upon our previous successes and continue to improve the experiences of our students, faculty and staff.”
