A school in Golden has officially closed Thursday.
Not because of the snow, but because of a lack of funding.
The Jefferson County School Board voted to close Pleasant View Elementary because of both limited funding and student enrollment.
The district is trying to cut 25 million dollars from its budget.
It has originally put five schools on the chopping block, but the Jefferson County School Board voted to close only Pleasant View in a meeting in February.
The school held a closing ceremony Thursday evening.
